Oona received her B.S. in Statistics from University of California, Berkeley in 2024. Her current research focuses on problems in statistical genetics, particularly differences in trait and disease outcomes in the context of GxE interactions.
Lucy's current research is focused in population genetics, topics including but not limited to: polygenic trait
evolution under gene interactions (GxG, GxE)/AM, ancestry inference for admixed individuals, ancient DNA
and population history, and improving equity in genomics research.

Beulah is a PhD candidate from Jason Mezey's group sitting with us for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
She holds degrees in mathematics and biology from Southwestern University. Her work focuses on the impact of the
X chromosome on complex human diseases and the development of scalable phylogenetic inference methods. In her
free time, she enjoys hula hooping and claims to enjoy jogging. She also often falls, though she doesn't enjoy that as much.

Dylan is a sophomore studying computer science. He is interested in applying machine learning to health-related problems and has worked on previous projects on diagnosing COVID-19 from X-rays and predicting cognition based on structural and functional connectivity data. Outside of academics, he enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with friends, and juggling.

Lily is an undergraduate member of the class of 2026 studying Human Development. With the Musharoff lab, Lily is especially interested in studying healthcare decision-making as genomic data becomes a larger aspect of clinical practice. After Cornell, she hopes to attend graduate school to become a nurse practitioner.

Cammy is a freshman studying biology with a concentration in computational biology. She is currently working on computationally analyzing the genetic and social factors of autoimmune diseases. In her free time, she loves traveling, hiking, and reading.
Alice is a computer science major with minors in AI, data science, and electrical and computer engineering. She is interested in AI-driven diagnostic models for heart disease, tailoring predictions based on factors like sex, age, and body weight to improve accuracy and fairness in healthcare. Her current work focuses on leveraging machine learning to reduce biases in cardiology diagnostics and enhance patient outcomes across diverse populations.

Rahma is an undergraduate junior majoring in computer science with a concentration in pre-medical studies. She is interested in developing and applying computing techniques to analyze multi-omic data for precision diagnostics and healthcare. After Cornell, she plans to pursue a dual graduate and medical program. Outside of academics, she enjoys digital art, hiking, and horseback riding.

Ironball was adopted by Lucy in 2022 during her prime years at the age of 3. After spending 2 years in Boston, they have now set off for new adventures in Ithaca! Unlike the usual perception of chinchillas being shy, Ironball has a fierce spirit. With a history of defying expectations, she even spent a whole summer with four cats and they all got along well. Ironball’s favorite snacks are anything apple-related, and she’s definitely looking forward to the annual Apple Fests in Ithaca.
Taco and Renly have enjoyed hiking with Jaclyn and her family and have visited all the major trails in Ithaca and Watkins Glen, even spending some time wandering off-trail at Tanglewood Nature Center. They have always been available and happy to relieve anyone of any orange slices one may find unsuitable. Taco continues to harass any toads he finds and attempts to make friends with the neighborhood cats on his daily walks with no signs of slowing down as he approaches his 8th birthday. Renly, sadly, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in the summer of 2024, where he now has an endless supply of tennis balls to chase and stuffed Lamb Chops to shred.
